From Laid Off to Award-Winning Filmmaker with Sophie Worm [Livelihoods: Episode 3]

Listen to this episode on your favorite podcast platform:

In this episode of Livelihoods, I interview filmmaker Sophie Worm. Sophie was put on a forced sabbatical during the 2023 Hollywood labor strikes and from that experience created the award winning short film, The Art Assistant, which hilariously grapples with how AI is reshaping art. We discuss her transition from commercial film production to independent filmmaker and business owner, and what she has been learning about herself and her creative process.
